The future runs on Human Insight AI
At CES 2026, Smart Eye showed the next generation of in-cabin technology: systems that make vehicles safer and more responsive to the people inside them.
From our award-winning Real-Time Alcohol Impairment Detection to fully integrated Under-Display Cameras, each demo highlights practical advancements in driver monitoring and interior sensing.
Clients, partners, and press are welcome to schedule time with our team to learn more about our latest innovations.
Announced at CES
What we showed

Iris authentication
Iris authentication brings biometric security into the vehicle. Built into the Driver Monitoring System, it verifies the driver in under one second, enabling personalized profiles, in-car payments and protection against unauthorized use.

Concept Development Kits (CDKs)
Concept Development Kits let OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers explore integration options for driver and occupant monitoring. The demo showed several camera configurations and the Synthetic Data Generation Tool.

AIS
AIS helps prevent accidents with real-time insight into the driver. The driver support system for trucks, buses and cars detects distraction, fatigue and, through real-time alcohol impairment detection, behavioral signs of intoxication.

AI ONE
AI ONE delivers full-feature driver monitoring in a single compact unit: camera, image sensor, processor and software. It runs on under two watts, with no external ECU or complex cabling.
CES 2026 Innovation Awards Honoree
Real-time alcohol impairment detection is a CES 2026 Innovation Awards Honoree in Vehicle Tech & Advanced Mobility.

How Euro NCAP Will Make DMS the New Safety Standard
Driver monitoring is on its way to becoming as standard as the seatbelt. The e-book explains how Euro NCAP assesses and rates driver monitoring systems.

Under-display camera integration
Under-display camera integration hides the driver monitoring camera fully behind the vehicle display, with tracking accuracy and responsiveness that match a conventional installation. Developed with Alps Alpine and AUO Mobility Solutions.

Interior Sensing AI
Interior Sensing AI extends driver monitoring intelligence to the entire car. In a four-seat demo, visitors built their own in-cabin scenarios and saw driver alertness, passengers, objects and emotions detected in real time.

Sheila, the empathetic AI co-driver
Sheila is an empathetic AI co-driver that combines in-cabin sensing with generative AI, adapting to the driver's gaze, expressions and activity. At the booth, a gaze-activated robot head showed how vehicle and occupant can interact.

Single-sensor 3D in-cabin monitoring
Single-sensor 3D in-cabin monitoring derives depth from one passive image sensor, giving a more robust read of occupant posture and position. Placement is flexible, including behind glass. Developed with Airy3D.
CES 2025 Innovation Awards Honoree
Sheila is a CES 2025 Innovation Awards Honoree in Vehicle Tech & Advanced Mobility.

iMotions
iMotions brings multimodal insight to every stage, from concept to car. It pairs multispectral camera sensing of vital signs, emotions and behavior with the DMS Evaluation Tool, which automates distraction testing against Euro NCAP and GSR standards.

Affectiva Emotion Sensing AI
Affectiva Emotion Sensing AI reads emotional reactions from the face in real time, with more than 20 facial expression classifiers and nine emotional states. At the booth, visitors saw their own engagement, valence and expressions measured live.
What Smart Eye should explore next
Visitors at the booth voted on where Smart Eye should go next: Level 3 readiness, agentic AI, cognitive load, wellness and personalization, or impairment detection.
